In residential settings where the removal of old windows is necessary our fitting team will ensure the following:

• All zones of work are covered with protective dust sheets and fragile items are removed or safely protected before any work commences.
• Disturbance within the home is kept to a minimum. We always work closely with our clients to ensure that there is a minimum of disturbance.
• Existing windows are safely removed and discarded correctly.
• In the rare instance where damage may occur to the window’s reveal in the removal process, the team will ensure all reveals are fully repaired. This is common in older dwellings where reveals are less stable.
• Every effort is made to clean the house prior to departure.
• Expanding foam is inserted around windows to ensure they are air tight and thermally insulated.
• Window boards are installed where necessary or when requested by the client.
• Waterproof silicone sealant is used on the exterior of frames to ensure the window is water tight.
• Upon completion the team will do one last commissioning walk-through of all newly installed doors and windows to ensure there are no issues before hand-over to the client.

In newly built structures such as brand new builds and extensions, the fitting team will work alongside the client to ensure the following:

• Clear communication takes place between our fitting team and the contractor to ensure final making sizes are precise and accurate.
• There is clear communication between all parties in order to minimize lead times on our production line.
• All windows and doors are installed accurately and efficiently to allows other trades proceed with construction and stay on schedule, i.e. keeping plasterers/tilers etc. in mind when installing.
• Insulating, expanding foam is installed around frames to ensure the windows surrounds are air-tight and thermally insulated.
